Privacy

What personal data we hold, where it is kept, and your rights over it.

Last updated: 16 August 2026

Scope

This policy covers cycleclose.com and Cycleclose products. It describes the personal data we hold, where it is kept, and the rights you have over it. Cycleclose is an independent software business; for every matter under this policy, the contact is support@cycleclose.com.

Your work in our products

Cycleclose products run on your own equipment and accounts, and do not transmit your work to us.

  • Standalone files run in your browser. What you enter is stored in your browser’s local storage, on your machine.
  • Google Sheet templates run as a copy in your own Google Drive, under your own Google account. Where a product publishes a web app, you publish it from your account, and access is controlled by how you share the Sheet.

We hold no copy of your work and cannot access it.

Google permissions

Sheet-based products ask Google for authorisation to run inside your copy. The permissions requested are:

  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/spreadsheets.currentonly — read and write the one spreadsheet the tool is installed in.
  • https://www.googleapis.com/auth/script.container.ui — show the tool’s menus and dialogs inside that spreadsheet.

If a future product requires a different permission, it will be listed here before that product ships. You can withdraw authorisation at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections; your Sheet and its contents remain yours and readable either way.

Where a Cycleclose product uses Google APIs, use of information received complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, do not use it for advertising, do not use it to train or evaluate machine-learning models, and do not transfer it except at your direction or where the law requires.

Personal data we hold

How that data is used

  • To deliver what you ordered and answer your messages.
  • To send occasional release announcements for Cycleclose products, to release-list subscribers and to people who have taken a product from our shop. Announcements are sent with recipients in BCC. Every such email includes how to opt out; a reply is sufficient.

We do not sell, rent, or share these addresses, and we do not use them for third-party marketing.

This website

cycleclose.com is served by Cloudflare Pages. It runs no analytics, no advertising or tracking pixels, and no third-party scripts or fonts, and it sets no cookies of ours. As the host, Cloudflare handles your connection, keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses, and may set its own cookie to distinguish people from bots; Cloudflare’s handling is governed by its own policies.

Links to our shop (Payhip) and to video platforms lead to those companies’ sites, under their own privacy policies. Nothing loads from them while you are on this site.

Your rights

You may ask what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask for corrections, and ask for deletion. Write to support@cycleclose.com; we respond within a month.

Children

These products are for people at work. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13; if you believe we hold such information, contact us and it will be deleted.

Changes

Changes to this policy are made by updating this page and its date. Material changes — a new permission or a new place data is kept — are also announced on the release list.
